Codes 08 and 11

I have been active on the 99, C900 and 9000 boards for many years. I just purchased my first 9-5...........2004 Aero auto with 102K. A clicking noise under the passenger dash lead me to finding ACC codes: two errors for code 8 and two for code 11. The problem is when AC is on I get heat from both passenger upper vents and the rear vent as well. The heat seemed to be working fine. I have done a TON of research but I don't know what to do next.
Here's what I HAVE done: I removed glovebox and two stepper motors. The motors seem to be okay. Both shafts that the motors turn seem to be undamaged and move freely and the link arms look good. I have not re-installed the stepper motors and the ACC unit remains in the off position. When I press the recirculation (REC) button there is a click-click-clicking coming from the recirculation motor. It appears that there is a problem with the REC motor but what is puzzling me is would the error codes that I have be triggered by a faulty REC motor?
I plan to remove the REC motor next but I understand that putting it back in can be difficult.
