fix the shifter with Genuinesaab Posted by saabsince 93b [Email] (#972) [Profile/Gallery] (more from saabsince 93b) on Thu, 30 Oct 2014 12:43:01 In Reply to: sports touring car, tarheel, Thu, 30 Oct 2014 10:36:27 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I have a stick and my wife has an auto. The stick is VERY desirable in my opinion.
You can fix that sloppy shifting feel for $140 with a genuinesaab.com shift kit. They are a site sponsor here and great people.
I have had one for a few years and it is the best money I ever spent on the car. Replaces a big plastic part with a precise metric bearing that is what the car should have had from the beginning. Search around there is a step by step how to on a Saab site with Central in their name that actually lets you post photos with your posts! Can you believe that?
You do have to remove the console and modify the aluminum base a bit, but it is WELL WORTH IT for sure. http://www.genuinesaab.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=801
