Very strange. I have a 2004 9-5 Aero, and I have replaced 3 batteries to date, the battery has been disconnected countless times when I worked on the car. Never had to use a radio code. If it is the original factory radio, it should not require one. I do not see this in my owner's manual either. Last Saab I needed a code for was a 1994 900 SE. Even my 2000 9-3 did not need a code.
