Got inspired last night- I took the drivers seat out of my 2003 9-5.

there were just too many french fries and pens and coins stuck there so I cleaned the carpeting and rails. Taking the seat out was easy- four bolts, long extension. one electrical connector- and used needle nose pliar to squeeze out the bundle tie, saving it for reuse. I left the seat belt connected, just spinning the chair out of the car.

This also gave me a chance to repair the plastic side moulding on the seat that holds the seat controls.

it took about five minutes to take out, replacement was as simple.

My point here is that next time I do any blend door work or anything underneath the dash- the seats are coming out.
