Front end rumble on overrun

I'm hoping someone can guide me on front end noises on my 2004 Aero 5door RHD.
I have a rumble and/or clunking from the front (right I think) when there is no load on the drive components, i.e. when coasting, but no noise when accelerating, although sometimes clunking if the road is a bit lumpy!
I have just spent an hour with a local indy (not SAAB, they are rare in France where I now live) after a run to listen he put the car on a hoist, his opinion is OK for bearings, CV joints, engine mounts, steering arms and bushings (all relatively new poly), although he had difficulty getting to the gearbox oil inspection hole, so he couldn't check there, however, the box is only 30,000mls old, so should be OK as there is nothing discernible when holding the gearshift (5spd manual). It does need a front end alignment as it drifts to the right, that will be done next week when hopefully someone here may have a lightbulb moment for further checks on the rumble/clunk.
Where do we go from here. Opinions are welcomed.
