The reason people here bash the V6 reliability is because it's true. This is the same engine that's in the Cadillac Catera (you know the POS of that 'Zigs'), except the Catera doesn't have Saab's add-on assymetrical turbo on one bank of the V6. It has a horrible reliability record in that car, and the timing belt WILL break when you least expect it and leave you stranded.
Get the I4. You'll be glad you did. Power difference in the real world is negligible (I've driven both extensively) and the 4 can easily be tuned to trounce the V6. These engines won't quit: 250K or more can be expected.
