I have yet to replace one under 90,000 miles of use Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Fri, 6 Feb 2015 16:58:21 In Reply to: Over half a million miles in Saab DI equipped cars, bill h., Fri, 6 Feb 2015 07:36:10 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Over 420K miles between my 2000 9-5 and my '08 9-5. The only one that ever failed was the "Special Recall" replacement unit when it started throwing codes after nearly 120K miles of use.
2000 9-5
Replaced the factory original DIC at ~90K miles
Replaced the replacement unit via the Special Recall at ~180K miles
Special Recall unit started throwing codes at ~300K miles and was replaced
Sold the car at 318K miles
2008 9-5
Factory original unit still installed at 103K+ miles
2000 Viggen
Factory Recall unit installed, unsure of miles before or after that point as I am the fourth owner but car has 67K miles currently
