I recently bought a set of OEM 08-09 Griffin mats from Neo Brothers for my 05 Aero. Mats for earlier years were not Griffin and a lot more expensive.
Until the end of the winter I will be using the OEM rubber mats that I bought at the same time, so I haven't really used them yet.
When I did put them in the car briefly they did appear to fit, so the clips are definitely in the same location. From what Edv says the holes may be a little big, so I may have to wrap something around the clips in the spring, which isn't really a problem and should hardly be visible.
Conversely I presume that anyone with an 08-09 car wanting to use mats from an earlier car would have to drill the holes to enlarge them. Quite easy again.
9-5 mats - both rubber and textile, are sold by Neo Brothers for absurdly low prices, so anyone in the UK may want to stock up on them.
