Hi Don. I'm burlybryan over there as well. It's a great forum with a similar DIYer knowledge and attitude to Saabnet. Basically, all of my posts are about my eternal struggle to solve my cold starting troubles. I've had an '82 for about 4 years now. Corrected most of the previous owners kludges and got it running right and restored the interior, suspension, fuel system, top, cooling, etc. Meant to pull the head this winter for a valve job (leaking seals) and helicoil the firewall side exhaust manifold bolt but never got to it. Stripping that bolt has left a fairly significant oil leak. It wears a pretty unfortunate respray (Maaco special in Pt Cruiser Inferno Red...ugh) from the previous owner, but I've got it to 15 footer condition. I thought that having an "old" car would cure my sensitivity to squeaks and clunks, but it hasn't! Fortunately there is the benefit of wind noise.
See ya around!
