02 Linear 160k. I've had the car for 10k and assume the clutch is original. It's had a little chatter on engaging from time to time but nothing serious. My son flashed me a stage one chip. On a fairly steep uphill in 5th at about 65 I put my foot in it and watched it go into the red. The clutch slipped for less than a second and grabbed. I tried it again on another day same place and it did it again. No other slipping episodes.
Problem is I'd like to take it on a 1500 mile round trip to VA in a week. In 50 years of driving I've had several clutches go on me in one way or another. I intend to replace this clutch, but what's the collective wisdom as to whether I can make it down and back this trip if I don't overdo the boost.
