For those who suggested my clunk was rear sub-frame bushings, you were right! Very right, as it turns out. I've read posts that suggest later model rear sub-frame bushings are better than the ones that ordinarily are spec'd for the '03 Aero. That number is #12762090, I think. Am I better off ordering them instead of the usual spec? And are the front-rear and rear-rear the same bushing? Eeuroparts show different numbers for the two rear bushings. Thanks!
