'07 9-5 Auto bucking during downshift @ speed? Posted by Tulsaab [Email] (#31) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Tulsaab) on Tue, 9 Jun 2015 07:18:57 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
A few weeks back I was driving my 9-5 with about 150 lbs of paper in the back of it on the interstate - it's an auto and was in sport mode, so pressed the accellerator to pass a driver and the car started bucking like a bronco - once i let off and reduced the speed down to 65, it was just fine. I chocked it up to having too much weight in the back over the rear wheels and forgot about it until over the weekend, when once again, I was moving something heavy in the back and it did the same thing at speed. The rest of the time when moving heavy loads, the car shifts just fine - no indication of anything wrong.
Today when driving to work (with an empty car), I pushed down the accelerator to pass and got what feels like a thud, but it only happened once instead of the bucking I was getting previously with a heavier load.
I did have the fluid changed (not flushed, but drain/refilled w/ M13309) by a reputable Saab shop back in January. Car has 95K now. Anyone have any thoughts as to what this could be or where I should check?
