2004 is a good year for MAYBE THINKING about dropping the oil pan, you know, when you have the time. On a 2000 I would recommend dropping the oil pan YESTERDAY. Your golden...Did you see a flashing sign on dash for oil?
For higher pressure, change your oil to Castrol Synthetic of same weight or close to it. Mobil 1 has changed, very different from years past. The OW-40 is very thin and for old engines and not so good. Maybe the conventional oil did wonders for your engines various seals and gaps.
Keep (should be) using the Mobil 1 engine oil filters, they're tops.
