Need advice, or may have to turn to necromancy Posted by serge [Email] (#1363) [Profile/Gallery] (more from serge) on Sun, 5 Jul 2015 21:05:51 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Everyone has lost something in his or her Saab from time to time. An iPhone slips between the seat and the console, lost pens, all common occurrences and varying only in degree of difficulty locating. I've really done it this time. I am almost ready to turn to the dark arts, you know...minor, small blood sacrifices. I hope it doesn't come to that. My dogs are nervous.
I keep my drivers license, insurance card, and a debit card together using a small office binder clip. It's maybe 1/4" thick. I placed the clipped bundle in the small ashtray bay in front of the gear selector ('09 9-5 Aero).
At the first opportunity, i.e. ten seconds later, the cards flew out while accelerating. I heard them slide. I did not see them slide, either to the right or to the left of the center section. They seem to have entered Rod Serling-ton, the Outer Limits, or some other doomed dimension. They are not/do not appear to be stuck between either seat and the console, nor are they/do not appear to be under the seats or entangled in all of the machinery below. I've gone back over the entire area several times using good light, and I just can't find them.
So my question to the group is: what is the craziest, least likely, most effed-up place in your 9-5 where you've finally found your phone or keys or whatever. I know these cards are in there. I'd like very much not to take the seats out. I'm sure there's a place I just don't know to check. I figure that the crazier the place is, the more likely I am to find my stuff there. Perhaps no animals need to be sacrificed, and my soul will not be imperiled (at least not further) by proximity to the dark forces...
Thanks in advance. I wouldn't ask the group such a stupid question if I weren't desperate.
