Good to know but still not D-I-Y'er inexpensive Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Thu, 9 Jul 2015 03:25:35 In Reply to: radio divorce with Autel MaxiDAS 708, Htguru, Wed, 8 Jul 2015 21:21:36 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I checked the web and saw the price new is ~$1,000. Compared to a Tech-II clone that may not work from the factory, or a used authentic Tech-II that may need repairs, it seems a fair price. What stopped me was the ~$500/year cost of updates!
Maybe these updates will not be required for a D-I-Y'er who will use one device on the same vehicles each year, only requiring an update when a different or newer car is added to their fleet. And maybe I am just cheap.
With all the car brands this one device will service it could be a huge money saver for professional repair shops.
