I'm the fellow in the USA with a newly purchased, Canada-originated 2001 9-5 4-cyl. (15k mi.)

Have any of you had a definitive, dealer acknowledged warranty repair on these two things I've seen brought up here before?

1. The suspected AC expansion valve "groan" on startup.

Mine has been making a rising croak/flatulence sound intermittently on startup but not shutdown. (Definitely independent of my previous meal contents.) Is it really the AC?

2. The "clunk" from the steering rack on sharp, low-speed turning, e.g., parking.

I thought someone else had heard there's an adjustment or replacement of a front-end component at issue here.

I anticipate following these two anomalies soon . . . but wanted to toss out the question to all of you before I approach the service writer.
