those cars are designed to hold up to 5 passengers, no? So the 600 lbs in addition to you and your dad should be ok...
I would just distribute the weight evenly, and keep an eye on tire pressure , as already suggested.. and pay special attention to your driving style... in terms of approaching/exiting highway ramps.. handling local roads, etc, and you should be fine...
