The bleeder is accessible through an "inspection port" on top of the bell housing.
As for technique, Vacuum bleeding is the very worst, IME. Because of the very low pressures in the clutch system, putting on a vacuum sees to suck in air at both the master and slave cylinders. Gravity bleed seems to work OK so long as everything is in proper order. It was especially good back in the day when the ATE ABS system was used and it was annoyingly easy to empty out the tiny clutch chamber in the reservoir when using a pressure bleed. The gravity method gave you plenty of time to keep filling the reservoir.
But the gold standard for the clutch is to back flush. A little inconvenient as it forces the old dirty fluid back into the reservoir, so you might want to put that off until next time. I bought an inexpensive old fashioned pump oil can, cleaned every bit of oil out of it using solvents and brake cleaner. Fill it with brake fluid, attach to the bleed nipple, and pump away.
