Steve...
I think you're correct about the larger holes on the Moog.
The control arm itself shouldn't "wear", per se, but I'd imagine hitting potholes or driving over rough surfaces, could cause some alteration over the long run.
As far as poly vs rubber, that's really a question of compromise, depending on what you're looking for in a suspension. The poly is obviously stiffer, so the question is, will it be too stiff, causing some undesirable side effects? Bushings have a hardness rating, and if too hard, you may find the ride too harsh/jarring, especially when going over bumps, potholes, etc. I'm not well versed with the various poly offerings, but I'd imagine there are softer poly's out there that offer a very nice compromise... Personally, in the Northeast, the roads are questionable with the winters we see.. so I opted for something closer to OEM with the rubber.. and I wasn't sure about whether or not the poly's would present noise issues with squeaking etc..
