Rear view mirrors have no "up" movement?

2003 9-5 Aero 5spd with homelink and auto-dim.
I've noticed recently that neither right nor left side mirrors will go "up" from the control switch. They only go left, right and down. So initially I thought it might be the switch.
But then I noticed that when I engage the reverse gear position option (small little "pin" buttoin) the right side mirror will go down and into position, but then it won't come back up.
Is it possible that both "up" motors have died? I'd really love to have "up" back in action. I'm hoping someone has an idea or a suggestion.
