Eeuro Suplex springs on Areo front - I'm interested too Posted by Mark in Marine [Email] (#1837) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Mark in Marine) on Sat, 5 Dec 2015 10:49:02 In Reply to: Any one use Eeuro Suplex springs on Areo front?, bill h., Sat, 5 Dec 2015 07:45:59 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I'd like to know - Suplex (Sweden) is an OEM to many companies; one thing in their favor is that they are marketing under their own name.
I am now maintaining three 9-5's ('99 & 2 '06's), a 2005 BMW 325xi, and a 2012 Honda Odyssey. I installed Suplex rear springs on the BMW 33K miles ago - the BMW's PO had both (broken) rear springs replaced once under warranty (45K miles), one was re-replaced under good will at 82K, and at 92K one was broken for me. So the Suplex springs have already gone more than 2/3 as far as the PO got from OE. This may not be a fair comparison, the design of the E46 BMW rear suspension catches grit and salt in a way that scratches through the plastic cladding, and the failures may be corrosion related. I cannot say whether Suplex made the OE springs or not.
If you order the Suplex Springs, please report your experience.
