also check vacuum lines... Posted by Snowmobile [Email] (#686) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Snowmobile) on Wed, 13 Jan 2016 08:24:41 In Reply to: P1260 code only, John Grillo, Tue, 12 Jan 2016 08:55:45 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
We had a series of TB codes this fall, including P1260. The TB had to be reset a bunch of times, I cleaned it twice, etc... At some point it became a real issue (stalling etc), opened the hood - broken vacuum line at the nipple. Crazy glued that back on and have had no problems since (and no codes). I should probably order a new hose set, but I'm not going to mess with stuff that is working right now in winter - all the plastics are brittle and that's just asking for trouble!
Make sure you know how to reset limp home mode on the TB. JustinHiFi has a youtube video on this see link.
Be careful when accessing the TB not to damage brittle vacuum lines/nipples. Definitely worth inspecting for that.
good luck!
