All depending on how good the cat is, it can take more or less time to complete the cat readiness.
Try to stay around 50 mph for as long as possible with as little gas pedal input as possible keeping it below 2500 rpm.
Sometimes to get the cat up and running and as hot as possible you can step on it hard at the on ramp and accelerate heavily and then coast down to a steady 50mph.
Then stop and idle for a few minutes and then drive it again around 50mph.
But as I said, it depends heavily on how healthy the cat is and if the rear O2 sensor stabilize at a steady voltage when cruising.
A weak cat will display a nervous rear O2 sensor signal that will fluctuate in voltage for any and every little input of the road and gas pedal.
