Yes, it says that right there on the Tech2 screen.
Put an already programmed key into ignition and turn on and click Ok on the Tech 2 screen and push unlock button on remote until seat belt flashes.
Remove key and put the unprogrammed key in and turn on ignition and push unlock until seat belt sign flashes.
Does he have the CANdi box needed for the 2006 and up 9-5?
If the remote on the key is bad, it might not flash the seat belt but the chip to start engine in most time gets programmed anyway.
Did that yesterday on my own car. Programmed 4 keys and remotes but one of them, the power lock remote function is bad so it only matched it up so I can start the engine but I cannot lock/unlock the car with the remote. So that key it did not flash the seat belt sign like the other three but it still works for the important part starting the car.
