If you have the special Rose Bush tool, it is not too bad. If you make a tool yourself with all-thread or using hardened bolt and other adapters you may find you cannot fit your homemade kit into the available space - this was my observation, so I bought the tool. The call on having it done versus doing it oneself would depend a lot on how much time you have versus how much money. Let us know how it goes - good luck.
