I discovered a mistake in the build of my audio system that's been there since the car rolled off the line 15+ years ago.

While in the process of replacing the front passenger door pull I took a look at the door speaker foam as I'd just refoamed the sub speaker. The foam was fine. I also noticed the door panel build sticker, which included checks for an ash tray and a door speaker. Only trouble was that there was no speaker hole - the worker didn't pop out the speaker cutout from the inner door panel. For all this time that speaker had been totally blocked by a 6mm sandwich of fiberboard and vinyl!

I grabbed a flashlight to peek through the other grills - the three other doors checked out fine.

A little embarrassing for me not to hear this problem before finding this build mistake!
