Proparts ignition cassette defective

I have a 2000 9-5 aero. My CEL stayed on for a solid week and one of the codes indicated faults in the ignition cassette. I ordered a Proparts cassette from e-Europarts. I could not get the connector to lock into the cassette. Upon further inspection I discovered that the manufacturer had poured too much epoxy into the inside of the housing on the cassette.
It took me a while to figure this out but not before snapping the plastic lock tab on the engine side of the plug-in. Fortunately, I have an identical donor car and was able to extract the plastic slider lock from the connector, and put on my old cassette. I called customer service at e-Europarts before I figured out what was wrong with the new part, tried to get them to send me a new cassette but they refused.
The tech told me they (the cassettes) are all the same so sending a new one would not accomplish anything. There is about 1 or 2 mm more of electrical connectors showing in my old cassette which allows the plug to be pulled into position when you push the plastic lock tab into place-the new proparts cassette lacks this depth-hence the broken slide tab when pushing into place to lock the connector. Has anyone else experienced this? By the way, the proparts cassette will not lock onto the connector on my donor car either.
