My dear wife was driving home tonight and was head-on hit by a drunk in a citroen C4, Citroen was on the wrong side of the road!!!

Wife was in my 9-5 Aero S/W MY04 and has stepped away from the wreckage with a bloody nose from the airbag. My White German Shepherd was in the back of the s/w which has (had) a saab guard across, she has a broken leg but otherhwise OK and remained in the rear compartment. The car is a write-off as the engine has been pushed to the firewall, but all doors opened just fine.

Am I glad she was in my 9-5, I wonder if her 9-3 convertable would have saved her as well, certainly the dog would have gone and probably taken the wife out with her on the way through the windscreen. As an aside, said citroen is a mangled mess, will I find another Aero s/w, you bet!!!

Very frustrating, this is all 3rd hand as I normally would be in France where I now live and where all of the above has taken place, but I am in England and this is all by mobile calls to/from wife and friend. Flying back tomorrow....
