I have a 2001 9-5 Aero I recently purchased with ACC problems. It would only blow air through the center vents--not the defroster or foot well vents. The code that came up was 1 14. When i took things apart, I found the stepping motor (the one highest and closest to the firewall) to have its gears stripped. I also found the stop arm on the drivers side to be broken. Having a donor car, I began to take it apart, but noticed a couple of things that have me a little confused. With all of the stepping motors removed, on the donor car when moving the yellow arm on the passenger side, the sort of wheel thing on the drivers side moves with it. On my car I'm fixing, it does not--any ideas why? All the connecting rods seem to be in place. Everything seems to move easily and on the car I'm fixing, I can move the yellow arm by hand and get the air to blow in different places. Thanks in advance and any help would be appreciated.
