The observation afer removing the stepping motor on the driver's side that the blend door armature was all good and not the source of the code 8 acc error code.It was the gear that was extended too far in the stepping motor, thus making no contact with the gear that turns the shaft that fits in the armature sleeve.
check three dudes and their cars... "calabrating ACC and fixing fault codes 8 and code 11..." at their: dudes . berrydejager . com site for the step by step solution to the motor gear fix. really just a matter of taking it apart and vicing the gear and shaft back into the motor a tad, so it makes contact when its reassembled.
