i recently read many messages about battery problems .
the battery on my Saab 2000 aero 9.5 is about 11 years old and still strong. the one on my 550 spyder 1955 is now 15 years old .the ones on my other cars are about the same as are the ones in my old and new motorcycles .the newer caRS run thru batteriEs every 2 years or so ..on my new cars they are now 3 years old and great .
HOW ... something i learned from my bikes ...a BATTERY TENDER AND EVERY NIGHT I PLUG IT IN . AND WHEN I AM AWAY FOR 3 OR 5 MONTHS THE SAME THEY STAY PLUGGED IN.
the battery tender comes with a plug in that you attach tot he battery and all you do is connect the two leads every night .
if you walk into a motorcycle dealership in winter you will find scores of batteries connected to battery tenders . i have tried the ones sold by sears but eventually they failed . so i pay a little more .....the cost me around $40.00. but i have had them now for over 10 years and have no idea how much they are now .
