Check to see if the plastic reflector has a boss (raised flat spot) where the cornering light socket would go. If it does, drill a hole in the center of the boss, then use a Dremel tool to cut slots where needed.
I ran into this problem when I replaced a front turn signal unit on a 9000 years ago. It didn't have a hole for the front mounted backup light, but it did have a spot to put the lamp socket.
As a side note, I always thought those front mounted backup lights were the coolest, unique and most useful ideas Saab ever came up with.
