in addition to not causing these sorts of wheel bolt issues, they don't rust like steel wheels do. You can get a set for $100-200 depending how picky you are... basically it was a no brainer for me.
The BMW wheel bolts would be nice if they rust less. That said, mine (now 12 years old through our super salty winters) are cosmetically a little rusty on the outside, but the threads are all very good... I clean and then put a thin dab of grease on at each change... I know, a tire tech will say that is a big no-no, but I hand torque them to spec with a torque wrench and have never had a problem... I have had issues with others over-tightening bolts, and also with rusty bolts seizing... so that is why I do it the way I do...
still I may pick up bmw bolts sometime for the cosmetic aspect... they are cheap.
