All flickering that happened on our 2004 SAAB Aero Combi stopped when I replaced the Xenon bulb. One or both, where ever it flickered.
Maybe a separate issue but have new Xenon bulbs on hand anyway, which you do...
Yes, check the connections near the ballasts too.
After a 100k miles the battery cables cables should be checked over from top to bottom.
Finally, check the fuse and replace with known good one (or new one).
Buy (Xenon) OEM or OSRAM or whatever Eeuroparts are selling. Stay away from fleabay...
Sorry, the easy way is taken.
