I actually had 2 motors. One with a good arm and burned out resistor, the other a bad arm and good gears and motor. So I made a good one out of it.
I will probable fix the other one and either get a new arm or make and aluminum one.
After what you just posted a spare would be a good idea.
I am still having trouble with the motor with the "R" on it. I put a new aluminum arm on it and the motor will not go in far enough. Like I need another 1/8". That is why I asked about long and short arms.
You got any ideas? I am thinking of taking the brass shaft off the motor shaft and shortening it in a lathe.
I do not think there is anything in the fitting stopping it, unless the shaft is broken in the heater box.
