I repaired mine once at the flexible joint by the hinge which lasted about a year. The took the whole harness out and spliced in new wires. That lasted about two years. Then finally purchased a new harness.
If you are handy with a soldering iron and carefully keep track of where the connectors go it's an easy job. I laid the harness our on a folding table with cardboard to protect the table.
Repair or replace depends on how long you plan to keep the car and how much spare time you have.
