One of the reasons you may be having a misfire is poor contact between coil and plug. Believe it or not, the only contact is by a spring in the rubber housing in the lower black case of the DIC. Removal of the casing and pulling the spring out to check, lengthen, or replace is the best way to deal with it. Not a good roadside repair. A good R&R is to check the coil contacts for corrosion as well as the springs. Also dielectric grease is in order.
Another suggestion is change plugs, pull fuse #17 I believe, reset the system and see if that helps. Just a few things to consider before chucking the DIC.
