Incredible, yeah I'm vvack .. or used to be vvack
The spg is in a bad way, I dropped in a parts motor awhile back (turbo, trans&motor) the parts motor ran but has a few oil leaks and doesn't boost right. under the valve cover it looks brand new. idling of the motor is off slightly sounds like it's running hard. I'm thinking after a head rebuild a cam turned 1 degree when they reinstated the timing chain. I've parked it out back and it's been sitting for 5+ years now.
I tried to start it few years ago and the alternator froze up over time and it snapped the alternator belts that's the the last time tried starting it. The car has a massive stereo installed in it, two 600 watt amps running the subs, one 140 amp running the 6x9s (fitted with adapters). The amps and subs have been pulled out and is currently being installed in the 9-5. The spg had bit the dust man, I've got no intention of working on it mainly because of my bad experience with the transmission. Case in point, bought the 91t for its motor & transmission with beefed up pinion bearing. So i pulled the spg's 330,000 mile motor and sent its transmission to get rebuilt. Rolled the parts car into the garage & its 90,000 mile motor and transmission was going to be the spg's doner. The transmission being rebuilt was going to be a back up. After pulling the parts car motor/trans found out a major rebuild was done to the motor, that's good but doesn't run right and the transmission was from a 1981 car (there's no centering spring to return the stick shift back to center, the shifter just flops around. Sooo ok' use the 91t's motor and my rebuilt trans. Perfect right, no' once I got the rebuilt transmission back I filled it up with oil and set the transmission aside for a week. In that week all the oil leaked out of the new rebuilt trans. :( there's no way I'm going thru the work to install crap that I know is bad. So as it stands I'm transmissionless for the spg. next car going into the garage would be the 9000 areo. It has electronic issues ( radiator fans shorting (the crimps bad) brake lights wiring.. and so on.
I've been gone out of Saabnet for years, or the length of time I was Saabless. Finally got the 9-5's a/c ice cold. It's so cold the vents blowing on my hands holding the steering wheel can give me frost bite. :)) I'm totally stoked not to mention driving a turbo compared to the pickup. Pff the 9-5 all the way man.
