I think i'm going to try the Dorman repair kit 800-061. It's a 5/16 line with 2 unions. If I'm interpreting it correctly, i should be able to attach the new line directly to the new valve (i'll use clamps as well). Then attach the union to the other end, and connect into the existing line. I can connect the union and valve to the new line outside of the car.. w/heat gun.. but then I'll have to connect the other end to the existing line within the car, which will be the biggest challenge.. and danger.. using the heat gun..
The other option will be to see how much line exist after cutting off the old valve.. and see if there's enough to connect it directly to the new valve... if not..I'll go with the option above.
I may try it this weekend, if time permits..
