I would question the logic of completely having new fluid as being somehow adverse to your transmission. The using of an output line of the tranny is in the wis - I posted a link in one of the above threads.
Now if it's too much of a hassle figuring out what the connector is and getting access to it than I could do the drain/refills - but it's more efficient and cost effective to get it all out at once.
I've done a number of Japanese cars which have fairly easy access to the cooling lines and on a tranny with 7 qt capacity you can replace the fluid using under 9 quarts, I like to add a bottle of tranny flush, then drain the pan, reinsert the plug then use the engine to pump out the fluid in 2 qt increments, refill, repump until fluid looks brand spankin new. What is needed to do this on Saab is a connector that threads into trany output and a length of hose into a pail. Not really all that complicated but access looks pretty tight and have to remove batt tray.
