well if your belief is that the fluid in a torque converter cannot be replaced without removing it from the transmission - that is very dated thinking, many many many yrs back torque converters did have a drain plag and access thru the bell housing, but when you either drain or flush the tranny in modern auto boxes the new fluid does make it's way to the torque converter.
