How would one ever know if Dorman has really "re-engineered the valve"
I recall the last Wells Airtek DI I bought made a claim that it was "re-engineered" to atop the coils from failing - really ?
On my 2004 the bypass valve failed within the 1st year of ownership - I thought I could drive it to the dealer but it was gushing so much that I had it flatbedded in - probably a $150 tow charge for a cheap stupid valve.
So when the valve was replaced I disconnected it's vacuum line and haven't heard a peep or weep from it since. Now that's an example of value based "re-engineering" .
