there are two sensors, an input and output sensor. I had a hell of a time finding them.
- there is one roughly under the ABS controller.
- another roughly under the brake booster.
you'll need to
- remove the battery,
- battery tray,
- transmission mount
- unmount the fuse/relay box, and move it out of the way
- unmount the radiator reservoir and move it out of the way
- remove the ABS controller
they are held in by only one t30 torx screw. easy right? no, even with all of that stuff removed they are still both very awkward and frustrating to get to. have your full array extensions and wobble heads available.
As Mark suggested, a sensor swap is a good diagnostic step, it will pinpoint the problem.
As Boris said, failure of these is very rare so using a junkyard part is reasonable and a good way to save some cash. I would have done just that if I hadn't already ordered a new part from eeuro.
thanks to all!
