Just as an observation - and not an opposing view - I have seen in both my 9-5's, and even today, a variation in how the car operates/drives when in hot weather compared to cooler. I have thought many, many times how it does not make sense, seeing that the ambient temp differences are nothing like the operating temps under the hood.
Weird though. They just seem smoother when its a little cooler.
I am in SOCAL by the way, if it matters.
I do have a question about some behaviors though that may be fuel pump related. The car ('05 linear wagon) does not accelerate smoothly, particularly when in mornings at first half mile or up hills.
Instead of a smooth curve to the acceleration graph it's a surging, roller coaster curve that shows the tacho and turbo needles bouncing just a little too.
Kind of irritating of course.
THE QUESTION: Is this phenomenon likely a fuel pump issue or a throttle body issue, or what?
Its at 85,000 and has been well looked after with fuel filters, TB cleans, plugs and there are no CEL's.
Any input would be appreciated.
