I can relate. I've had 5 9-5s (one V6, 2 Aeros, and 3 Linears, including one wagon). They've all driven about the same, but they seem to age quick. My 02 Linear sedan 5 speed has 188k miles, and it feels very tired and old. The seat bottom is crushed, and the suspension is done. The steering is ultra light. The engine still pulls, but everything else about the car feels its age. The 03 Linear wagon I also have right now felt similarly worn out in the suspension at just 88k miles, but an overhaul to Koni FSDs totally transferred the feel of the car. Whenever I switch to the sedan, I feel it's age right away.
I just bought a '11 BMW 328i with 37k miles as my daily after test driving every sport sedan out there, and I hate to say, I can't believe what I've been missing out on every day. There's a reason these cars are everywhere. They are outstanding. As much as I've loved my 9-5s, they're simply outclassed in almost all areas. I could do without the propeller badge and the designers' apparent disdain for DIYers, etc...
