9-5 Cowl grille - one more time

Last summer, someone here was looking for a 9-5 sedan Cowl Grille, Saab P/N 32017864. No sources were found.
The one on my '01 9-5 Aero is getting pretty bad. The weatherstripping is cracking off, etc. In the past, the grille was removed twice for new wiper transmission/motors, probably not helping as it is obviously pretty brittle.
Any ideas? I wonder what years this part number was used: if I could find one off a parts car, it would have to be a relatively recent vintage 9-5, as the older these parts get (at least here in western NY State, with big temp swings between winter and summer...) the worse condition they're likely to be in. Also, I am not sure what holds this part in, once you remove the wiper arms...
