I recently had a similar situation. Base model 2001 4cyl. Heard awful noises. Stopped the car. Opened the hood. Noise was PS pump. No fluid. Although I had previously bought CHF 202 online, I have since learned that Oreillys sells it. Bought a can. In the Oreillys lot, I had your experience, fluid pouring onto the ground. Noisy pump. My leak was not a hose but a loosened connection in the metal high pressure pipe from the PS pump to the steering rack. The line runs along the top of the subframe on the passenger side. I tightened as best I could in the Oreillys lot and it was about fixed - is became a drip, heavy when my partners (wife and daughter - we were heading for lunch out) turned the steering wheel. When I got home, I screwed the fitting tight with wrenches and refilled the reservoir. All fixed, no more frappuchino fluid. I was impressed with the ability of the pump to run on no fluid with no permanent damage (apparently so far).
Good luck with yours.
