The 2006 is the same as the 2005 except for the 1367 improvements or changes made right down to the bill of materials level. The consensus is that the Dame Edna look grows on you. Apart from the changed looks it essentially a better car with a few exceptions: the front bumper is more prone to curb damage e.g. the bottom sides pop out; the chrome on the hood is flimsy and the hood is heavier; the headlights look cool but I think the halogen from before 2006 were better (don't know about xenon which I find too expensive to maintain); the front inner door handles tend to wear prematurely, the same with the two tone sport seats; one rear backup light;more torque/power means a higher likelihood of oil seepage. Better handling and steering and the dashboard has a modern look to it and is less complicated to use. A low mileage 2006 is a better buy than a cheaper high mileage thrasher. Older well maintained cars can be a great buy if you know the service history and it checks off all the normal wear and maintenance items.
