The '04 and '05 Arcs have the same accoutrements as the '03 version. The difference simply is, the '04 and '05 Arcs use a derivative of the Aero motor in place of the problematic 6. The '04 and '05 Linear cars are wagons only, nothing extra on the inside or out, 235 E motor, and the old low pressure Garrett turbo. I've heard that '05 Arcs have Linear sized brakes, but I can't confirm that - what I can confirm is, there's substantial, indelible differences between the Arc and Linear for 2004-5 and there's no reason to assume the Arcs would have an Aero motor, "wasted" by being attached to a low pressure Garrett turbo.
The small difference in output between Aero and Arc boils down to reprogramming, and my suspicion is, some Arcs left the plant with full Aero output or were "fixed" in 5 minutes at the dealer.
I've got both a '04 Arc and an '04 Aero, and when I'm under the hood, I'm always getting them mixed up because everything looks exactly the same.
