Or similar lock fluid ONLY!
WD40 is a fantastic solvent. So fantastic that it will remove 100% of any lubricant still in the lock cylinder, leaving you in worse condition that where you started.
Spray the Lock-Ease into the cylinder body while it is still installed in the console.
Some guys have used diesel fuel to lubricate the cylinder after full removal, disassembly, cleaning, and re-assembly.
